Christmas at Culzean

Christmas at Culzean

Culzean is perfect for Christmas with friends and family more>

We all enjoyed our stay at Culzean House and an excellent time has been had by all. It's a really special place and absolutely perfect for a birthday weekend away. A great house in a stunning location - hot tub & sauna were a real bonus - great fun in the rain! Thank you for looking after us.

Situated within The Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, peace and quiet is never far away.

Ideally situated for exploring the West Coast of Scotland, Culzean House is an easy drive from Glasgow and under 3 hours from Edinburgh.

By Air

We are approximately 1.5 hours travelling distance from both Glasgow and Prestwick International Airports.

By Road

From the South, exit the M74 at junction 4.  Follow signs for Glasgow Centre (M8).  Continue on the M8 to Greenock and follow signs to Gourock (27 miles from Glasgow).  Dunoon is served by 2 ferry links - take either Western Ferries or Argyll Ferries at Gourock for a 20 minute crossing.  Culzean House is 14 miles north of Dunoon on the A880.  Discounted tickets (up to 50% off on board fare) for Western Ferries - usually only for Cowal residents - can be purchased at Paul's Food & Wine shop, 94 Shore Street, Gourock, PA19 1RB.  Visit or for more information.

Alternatively take the scenic route via Loch Lomond following the A82 to A83, then A815 for Dunoon and turn left at the sign for Ardentinny on the A880. Caution: road liable to icy conditions. Culzean House is 1 mile north of Ardentinny.

By Rail

The ferry terminal at Gourock (Argyll Ferries) is well served by a rail link from Glasgow Central Station.  Visit for train times and fares.

By Bus

The Cowal Connector McGill's 907 service departs from Glasgow Buchanan Street Bus Station and boards the Western Ferry at McInroy's point and carries passengers to Dunoon town centre.  From Dunoon take the 489 service bus to Glen Finart and Culzean House is 1 mile north of Ardentinny.  Visit and for timetables.
