Christmas at Culzean

Christmas at Culzean

Culzean is perfect for Christmas with friends and family more>

What made this stay so special for us was the ability to use the facilities in the Pub & Restaurant. Everything was organised for us. This added real value, with free internet access and the pool table which was used by all of our party, we were able to use the restaurant when we had guests to provide catering - which was excellent. All the children have said what a great time they had which, as any parent will tell you, is the basis of a great holiday.

Find out why over 6,000 people flew with Loch Lomond Seaplanes in 2008 and why they voted them Scotland's Top Attraction.

Loch Lomond Seaplanes

An intoxicating cocktail : the magnificent Scottish West Coast by Seaplane - take a time out on one of the World's great journeys. Loch Lomond Seaplanes, the UK's only commercial seaplane tour service, voted by the Scots as the country's top "must do" activity, is a breathtaking travel experience. Fly in a luxury iconic seaplane back to the halcyon days of travel with a First Class window seat over the most magnificent landscape in the World.

Loch Lomond Seaplanes, Europe's only city centre based seaplane company, operates Scenic Tours as well as regular tour flights to Obanand Tobermory on Scotland's stunning West Coast.

Discovery Scenic Tour

Flying at heights between 500 and 5,000 feet the preferred route will take you down the Clyde Estuary past Loch Long and Dunoon towards the south west and the town of Rothesay on the Isle of Bute. Look out for Toward and Rothesay castles. Views of Arran and the Mull of Kintyre should be available as you make your way past Loch Striven towards the Kyles of Bute and the village of Tighnabruaich - with great visibility you can even see Northern Ireland !

Your flight will then turn to the north up Loch Fyne towards Otter Ferry on the Cowal peninsula and at this point the islands of Jura and Mull can usually be seen to the West. Look out for Minard Castle on the west coast of Loch Fyne. As the flight approaches Inveraray and the magnificent castle to the north it will turn east towards the Rest and Be Thankful and "The Cobbler" mountain located in the Arrochar Alps. Scores of stunning mountains and glens will unfold below and Loch Goil, Loch Eck and Loch Long should all be enjoyed. On a good day Ben Nevis can be seen to the North.

Approaching Tarbet on Loch Lomond the flight swings southward to give you a magnificent view of Ben Lomond and a low level cruise down the world's most famous loch towards the islands to the south.

Flight time : 45 minutes.
